Another car post …

So – we took the plunge and bought a new car – we are now officially a three car family (that is so weird).  Since we are currently a two driver family we are just parking the Prism for the time being (July will be here soon …).  But all the details about the “new kid on the block”.

This actually IS a picture of our car – taken at the lot where we bought it.  It’s a 2009 Kia Sedona.  It’s a mini-van so it’s ROOMY which is a change from the Pathfinder.  It has some nice features (though it doesn’t have power doors or an entertainment package) and it drives smoothly.  Andrew has moved every seat forward and backward, has reclined them and folded them and keeps trying to poke into all the doors and niches and boxes scattered around the interior.  He’s not much different from his mom who has done much the same and has been browsing through the manual on top of that!  We’re all looking forward to our next Utah trip – just to see how much more AWESOME the drive will be now (that is a bit of sarcasm – but there is a part of all of us that thinks this will just make long trips SO MUCH BETTER)!

The upside?  NEW CAR – and, hopefully,  peace of mind.

The downside?  new loan – we’ve been enjoying no car payment the last year or so.  Still, we got a good deal on it and this is the smallest new car loan we’ve ever had, so hopefully we’ll have it paid off soon!
