Tom called me yesterday afternoon on his way home – he has been laid off. We have mixed feelings. On the one hand, no one wants to be out of work – and we say that from experience. On the other hand, I don’t know that Tom has ever worked in such an unpleasant environment and was already beginning the job hunt when he was laid off. So … we’re trying to look for the blessings in this new turn of events. Fortunately, we have more money in the bank this time around. Sadly, Yakkel just quit hosting us – at least that’s what we think happened. All of sudden we were getting a “404 Error” page and attempts to contact Yakkel were unsuccessful. On the upside – we have our own domain now – thewoodfamilyblog.com – which is kindof cool, although not very imaginative!! I learned a lot about importing and exporting databases – and the importance of backups. I am also getting a little more adventurous with all that WordPress can do, so that’s good too. We are having our traditional March snowstorm here in Denver – they are predicting up to 20 inches where we live.
