Well, Tom & I decided we were actually going to take the kids to Disneyland after talking about it for a couple of years. Because of Spencer’s school schedule, we decided to take them the week of Thanksgiving. We thought it wouldn’t be too crowded at Disneyland, because it is a holiday weekend, afterall, but that was foolishness! Still, we had a good time anyway. We didn’t want to tell the kids – we wanted it to be a surprise. We had to let the fact that we were going out of town out of the bag, so to speak, because we had to contact Spencer’s teachers about his absence. But we let him think we were going to Monroe. I don’t really have much to say – but I’m trying not to leave the blog idle! I have been trying to do some christmas preparations – i finally decided what I was doing for my siblings, but I’m still thinking about tom’s siblings – although I think I might have made a decision. I’ve been trying to make lists of things that my kids might like – we’re trying to be more economical this year so I’m on the lookout for inexpensive things they would still enjoy. We just read the christmas chapter in “Little House on the Prairie” and it was interesting to see the reaction of my kids to Laura & Mary’s gifts – a shiny penny, a tin cup, a stick of candy, and a little cake. I’m not sure they really thought about it in terms of their own christmas!! On...
So, Spencer convinced us that we needed to move to a new host where we could use WordPress and where we had “lots” more storage space. I have to say that the tools for blog making are much better with WordPress and I’m kindof excited about all the things I can add to my site (I say “my” because I seem to be the only Wood family member who is interested in blogging!!). I’m excited about having a place to post some of the things I’ve done with Activity Days (I have enjoyed all the stuff that other people have posted and am glad to be able to contribute). Posting picture pages will hopefully be easier since I think I can do it without actually resorting to learning all that markup language (is that what it is called?). And I can actually insert pictures fairly easily now, so maybe I’ll do...
